This heavenly stained glass block will make a great wall hanging or a medallion for a quilt. It finishes at about 31” x 31”. It is created using needle turn appliqué, a folded cutwork method, and freezer paper. It is also entirely reverse appliqué. The batik color choices are endless but make sure you don’t use colors that are too dark. I also recommend a black batik for the “framework” because it tends to fray less. The advantage of reverse appliqué is that you can choose what section you want to start on, so if you have not had much needle turn experience, you can choose the easiest sections first to get some practice as you go.
