Bring your imagination to this class!  Broderie Perse is one of the most enjoyable forms of applique. Students will create a Floral Retreat of their own while learning the history of broderie perse. 

 

Students start by playing with the fabric to create a beautiful vase, then learn how to create thin stems that are fun and easy to make. This technique can be used in other projects.  After the vase is ready, students learn how to cut and arrange the flowers, then the stitching fun begins.  However, the Floral Retreat isn’t finished until the birds and butterflies find their homes.

 

This is a great class for those who want to learn Broderie Perse or hone their skills. The needle turn applique technique will be used in this class.
